Skills are a core combat mechanic of the various classes in Blue Protocol. Active skills involve the player performing an action, and passive boosts provide bonuses that do not require player input.

Skills can be improved using skill points, which are obtained upon leveling up your character and can be reset using a Skill Reset Ticket. Higher tier skills will add new effects to existing skills, (presumably) increase their skill damage, and unlock abilities when the last tier is unlocked.


Each class has the following active skills:

  • 2 Regular Skills
  • 8 Tactical Skills
  • 1 Ultimate Skill

And can select from passive skills:

  • 16 Abilities
  • 6 Tactical Abilities
  • 6 Permanent Stat Boosts

Your skill build is limited in choice to 4 Tactical Skills and 3 Abilities. Additionally, you can equip 2 active combat Imajinn.

Regular Skills

These are basic attacks, bound to Mouse1 and Mouse2 by default.

You can perform 4 variations of Regular Skill 1 (M1) by casting the skill while:

  1. Standing still
  2. Moving forward
  3. Moving sideways
  4. Moving backwards

Regular skills can be leveled up to Tier 3 by consuming skill points.

Tactical Skills

Tactical skills are class-specific active skills. They can be leveled up to Tier 3 by consuming skill points. Tactical skills may have elements infused into them, applying debuffs to enemies.

Certain tactical skills can be held down to charge up to Level 2 or Level 3, providing additional effects such as increased range, increased damage, additional attacks, or other effects.

Once a tactical skill reaches Tier 3, two abilities for that skill are unlocked.


Abilities are passive attachments to tactical skills that are unlocked by reaching the final tier of that tactical skill. They provide various benefits such as recover HP when using a skill, share your personal buff with nearby allies, and increased efficiency of class resource when using this skill.

Each tactical skill has 2 abilities to choose from (alpha and beta), and you can equip up to 3 abilities at a time. You can not equip both alpha and beta for the same skill.

Tactical Abilities

Tactical abilities give utility bonuses. The six tactical abilities are:

  • Increased Stamina
  • Increased Dodge Distance
  • Increased Revival Speed
  • Ultimate Enhancement*
  • Class Resource Enhancement 1*
  • Class Resource Enhancement 2*

Permanent Stat boosts

Permanent stat boosts increase your character's stats. The six stat boosts are:

  • Increased Strength
  • Increased Vitality (Endurance?)
  • Increased Dexterity
  • Increased Mind (Spirit?)
  • Increased Intelligence
  • Increased HP
